What is the Reviews Scheme?
The Reviews Scheme is a scheme intended to connect suppliers to Search and Rescue teams with active members of the Search and Rescue community who can write good quality reviews. Suppliers could be equipment manufacturers, book and publication publishers, trainers and almost anything else you can think of
Once a member reaches 100 reputation, they will be able to join the reviews scheme just by getting in touch and letting us know that would like to be added to the reviews scheme. The requirement for 200 reputation is there to make sure that members who are on the scheme are active members of the community who do regularly provide feedback.
Suppliers are able to request the contact details of all the scheme members so that they can make contact with individual members of the scheme. Suppliers are then free to distribute their equipment, books and other materials for review by the review scheme members.
The benefits
The benefit of scheme members is potential access to free equipment or loan equipment for reviews, free books and free training. You might even get early access to pre-release equipment for feedback. Of course, membership of the scheme doesn't guarantee any of this, suppliers will make their own choice about who they choose to contact.
For suppliers, the benefit is direct contact with who provide regular feedback to the Search and Rescue community. You can target your loan equipment to people who can provide you with good quality feedback and who can provide you with a good quality review that will be well received by the Search and Rescue community.
